is a natural fit for art lovers like you who like to "get lost" in artwork — the "ah" of being so engaged, you're
What are you thinking as you connect with an artwork? Do you want to go beyond its curving path, search through rich layers of paint and textiles, ponder the source of energy in a fusion of repurposed materials? Whether art springs from the artist's brush or recreating something anew, the inward journey of artist and viewer tell a story that becomes the viewing experience.
You'll find that there is a sense of life and soul intermingling in my art. Being creative is the best way I've found to express myself and I'm keenly gratified by how it has empowered me. I started my daily practice of art making in 2020, but it's been a part of my life since childhood. I'm passionate about sharing my art with you and hope you feel the vibes and find inspiration in the views.
I'm celebrating re-finding my hidden creative path after years in science, publishing, and financial careers. It's such a thrill to no longer fit art-making around the "other" career, but to experience it as a "raison d'être".
Art has carved a deep path through my life. Not always central, but always speaking to me. Along the way, I've continually created for myself and others, enjoying the feeling of being a valued resource and a source of inspiration, even as one who just dabbled on the periphery.

Driftwilde also interweaves a life-long love of mine: Repurposing to find beauty in form and function. In my world, I elevate it to art and call it "Repurposing with Aesthetic". I'm into such things as non-traditional quilting and embroidering with repurposed linens and vintage silk ties to create sashiko- and boro-inspired wall art; adding texture to home decor through furniture painting, caning and tiling; garden designing; jewelry making and more. You name it, the zing of inspiration is all around us.
"I think of my mom (Anne-Cressey) as the ultimate creatress. Whether she’s crafting a Ph.D. thesis, sewing a child’s Halloween costume, or exploring new media, creativity has always coursed through everything she puts her mind to. She’s an endless source of inspiration and I’m thrilled to see her finally expand her creative presence with the inception of Driftwilde."
"A.-C. is a multidisciplinary artist who tends to capture a deep passion for exploring the immense effect creativity can have on our lives. Whether painting a dazzling watercolor or stitching in rhythm back and forth, the pursuit of her vision helps to unearth the creative potential of those inspired by her efforts."
